At Modelist, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in our desktop and mobile applications.
Data Processing
Modelist is a desktop application. Most data, including file metadata, thumbnails, notes, and activity logs, is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.
The application may process the following data:
- local file metadata and user-added information;
- licence verification data (such as licence key and purchase email);
- update check requests (version information only).
Mobile app and link sharing
The Modelist mobile app for iOS and Android sends web links from your phone to the Inbox of Modelist on your computer. To do that, it processes:
- your Mobile Sharing Key, which connects the app to your desktop installation and is stored on your phone;
- the links you share to Modelist or send from the app, and the page title when one is available.
Links and their titles are stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany), so that Modelist on your computer can show them in its Inbox and the mobile app can show your recent links. They are kept until you ask us to delete them.
The camera is used only to read the QR code that contains your Mobile Sharing Key; no images leave your phone. Notifications are created on your phone. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Third-Party Services
Licence verification is handled via LemonSqueezy. Links sent from the mobile app, and files you choose to share with other Modelist users, are stored with Supabase. No analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
Data Transfer
Most data is processed locally on your device. Data leaves your device only for licence verification and for the sharing features you choose to use: links sent from the mobile app and files you share with other Modelist users, which are stored with Supabase.
User Rights
Most data can be deleted by uninstalling the App. To have links or files stored for the sharing features deleted, or for help with licence-related data processed via LemonSqueezy, contact us.
